PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component arrangement amount calculating device capable of executing production management so as not to have a lot of defective properties even in the case of product of short life cycle and remarkable demand fluctuation. SOLUTION: Concerning the component arrangement amount calculating device for calculating a component arrangement amount from the production plan of a product for each prescribed unit term, this device is provided with a demand expanding part 103 for calculating a component demand 105 as the required amount of respective components from product production plan information 101 and component constitution information 102, a demand collecting part 107 for finding a periodically collected component demand 111 for each unit term by forwardly collecting the calculated component demand 105 are prescribed unit terms, a reference stock calculating part 106 for finding the number of reference stocks 110 at the terminal time point of each unit term from the periodically collected component demand 111 and a predetermined preservation unit term, and a component arrangement amount calculating part 112 for calculating a component arrangement amount 113 for each unit term so that the number of stocks of the relevant unit term can be equal with the number of reference stocks 110 of the relevant unit term while using the number of reference stocks 110 found to the preceding unit term. |
