METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECEPTION BY CDMA SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a portable telephone set adopting the diversity RAKE system in a CDMA cellular mobile telephone system further more by reducing the equipment scale and the signal processing scale. SOLUTION: A searcher 13 uses a delay spread code to calculate a plurality of correlation values each different in inverse spread timing from received data and transmits a reception timing signal S6 decided for a valid path through the use of the correlation after summing a plurality of the correlation values in time division to a finer processing section 12. The finger processing section 12 conducts detection processing to inversely spread received data S1 according to an instruction of the setting reception timing signal S6. A maximum ratio combining section 14 obtains a maximum ratio resulting from receiving detected processing signals subjected to inverse spread processing and applying RAKE combination to them. A decoding section 15 decodes and outputs the signal obtained by combining at the maximum ratio.
