PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively display and print desired image information by receiving index information, displaying it, receiving input for selecting the storage place of facsimile image information from the displayed index information, relaying a request for specifying the storage place, transmitting it to a server means and receiving and displaying relayed facsimile image information. SOLUTION: A server computer 110 receives and stores a facsimile image information 181, in response to call origination from a telephone line 102. The index information 183 is generated from stored information and transmitted to a client computer 120. The client computer 120 receives and displays the index information, makes a user select it, and transmits a specifying request 185 of the selected facsimile image information to the server computer 110. The server computer 110 receives the request 185 and transmits the specified facsimile image information 187 from the already stored facsimile image information to the client computer 120.
