<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality and data compressibility by approximating present images, for which a matching error with previous frame image data exceeds an allowable value by one or two or more orthogonal base systems with inter-frame adaptive orthogonal transformation, using the previous frame image data of dynamic images for obtaining high correlation between frames. SOLUTION: Block matching is searched and computed between a present pixel block MB of an encoding object within present image data VD and previous image data FD and the motion vector M of a specified previous pixel block, for minimizing the matching error with the present pixel block MB is obtained in a vector computing part 12. Normal inter-movement compensation frame encoding or AOT encoding processing is performed at an inter-frame AOT code part 13, output to a decoding part 14 is performed and the present image data VD' are decoded and reproduced by its and the previous image data FD stored in a frame memory 16 in the decoding part 14. They are stored in a frame buffer 15, and when they are stored in amount corresponding to one frame, they are transferred to the frame memory 16 as the previous image data FD of one preceding frame.</p> |
