摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture transmission system which requires shorter time and lighter labor for laying a temporary circuit as compared with the conventional example and can effectively utilize a frequency resource. SOLUTION: A camera 22 which photographs the picture of a disaster-stricken area 10 is connected to ground radio equipment 24 and a temporary radio circuit 30 which connects the equipment 24 to another ground radio equipment 28 constituting a VSAT station 20 is provided. It is also possible to use an optical fiber circuit instead of VSAT. A frequency channel not used for broadcasting at a disaster-stricken station 26 and the present location of the VSAT station 20 and its peripheral area is selected out of plural channels prepared for UHF telecasting and used as the temporary radio circuit 30. The data about the position of a broadcasting station, used frequency, the characteristics of an antenna, etc., are stored in advance in the radio equipment 24. The position of the equipment 24, etc., is detected by utilizing the GPS. The D/U ratio measured by means of ground radio equipment 34 or picture-monitoring results are fed back to the radio equipment 24 for frequency channel selection.
