PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifier type of solid-state image pickup device which has an OB region where there is little light leakage with incidence of a high- brightness light, and prevent the rise of signals in and around an image region which is caused by the fals charge. SOLUTION: This solid-state image pickup device, where the unit cell consists of an effective region 13 for sensing light, dummy regions 12 and 60 adjoining this effective region 13 and absorbing the signal leaking from the effective region 13, and an OF region 11 adjoining these dummy regions 12 and 60 and outputting dark voltage signals. Or this is a solid-state image pickup device where the unit cell consists of the effective region 13 for sensing light, the OB region 11 adjoining this effective region 13 and outputting dark voltage signals, and the dummy regions 12 and 60 adjoining this OB region 11 and absorbing the signals which leak from the opposite side from the OB region 11.
