PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic marine vessel identification system(AIS) with high safety and reliability. SOLUTION: The AIS is constituted by providing a GPS position measuring part 105 to measure the present position, to output its position information only by a WGS-84 geodetic system and to simultaneously output one second pulse signal and a comparing part 106 to compare position information of its own vessel to be inputted from a position information input part 100 with the position information to be inputted from the GPS position measuring part and to output an alarm when two pieces of position information are apart from each other over specified distance. It is constituted so that an alarm is issued when the geodetic system of the position information to be inputted from the position information input part 100 is switched to the one except the WGS-84 system.
