摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an absolute value while keeping the gradient of the attenuating amount to the temp. constant, and to reduce the cost of a temp. compensated attenuator only by preparing an inexpensive serial resistor by constituting the attenuator of a temp. compensating circuit and the serial resistor serially connected to the circuit. SOLUTION: This attenuator is constituted by connecting a temp. compensating circuit 6 consisting of negative temp. coefficient thermistors 3 and a positive temp. coefficient thermistor 4 which are connected inπshape, T shape or a bridged T shape and the serial resistor 9 to a main line 8 passing a signal. The main line 8 is used for connecting the temp. compensated attenuator to a power source or a load, and a characteristic impedance is normally selected to be 50Ω. This configuration is adopted in the temp. compensated attenuator so that a microwave signal made incident from an input terminal 1 is attenuated by the circuit 6 and the serial resistor 9. The attenuating amount of the microwave signal which is attenuated by the resistor 9 depends on the value of the serial resistance 9.
