SOLUTION: When the command of film read is inputted from the outside through an input/output terminal 15, the position of a film carriage 1 is detected by a carriage sensor 8 and a carriage sensor control circuit and transmitted to a film scanner control circuit. In order to make the film carriage 1 standby at a prescribed standby place, a motor 7 is driven by a motor control circuit and the film carriage 1 is moved to a standby position. After performing a scanning operation for obtaining the image information of a film 2 by visible light, a lamp is put off by a lamp control circuit, the range information of the dust and the rubbish is transmitted from an image information storage circuit to an image processing circuit, and the image information of the film 2 by the visible light is outputted.
