PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To periodically and automatically check an interphone terminal unit by transmitting prescribed data where the response timing of plural interphone terminal units is set to the respective terminal units, monitoring the state of the terminal units and displaying the effect of abnormality on a display means at an abnormal time. SOLUTION: When prescribed time passes after the start of the monitoring of terminal units 11, a controller 1 starts measuring a transmission possible time and judges whether transmission is possible within the time, namely, whether a control path 21 is used by another terminal unit or not by sensing the control path 21. When it is detected that transmission is possible within the transmission possible time by sensing, data set in the time slots are transmitted to eight houses on the first floor and polling is executed. Data where the time slots for eight houses are set are transmitted to the respective terminal units 11 at every prescribed time and the states of the terminal units 11 are monitored. At an abnormal time, the effect is displayed on the terminal unit of a managing room.
