PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption even in the case of high-speed converting operation by selecting a voltage value sampled by first (n) pieces of sample/hold(S/H) circuits, sending it to one terminal of a reference resistor group, selecting a voltage value sampled by second (n) pieces of S/H circuits, sending it to the other terminal of the reference resistor group and generating (n) pieces of sample pulses. SOLUTION: By turning on analog switches 7a and 8a on the output side of amplifiers 12a and 13a, the respective held output voltage values of terminals 11a and 11b are respectively outputted through the outputs of the amplifiers 12a and 13a to terminals 14a and 14b. A voltage corresponding to high-order bits is impressed to both the terminals of a ladder resistor group composed of resistors R1-Rn ((n) is an integer >=2). Since the data of low-order bits of conversion object data corresponding to high-order bits are impressed to a low-order bit SW selecting decoder 18, corresponding to these data, one switch of switch groups SW1-SWn to be connected to one of resistors R1-Rn is turned on.
