PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain antenna equipment with a beam scanning characteristic, which is mounted on a low-orbit satellite and is suitable for communication or the like with the earth by providing a rotationally symmetric dielectric lens formed by means of rotating the cross section of a convex lens shape and a planar array-antenna formed by means of radiation elements which are arranged in an angle range for looking through a dielectric lens from the focus of it. SOLUTION: Optical axis 16 of a dielectric lens 12 is set in a direction separated from a z-axis by a prescribed angle to obtain a beam scanning characteristic in a desired wide angle direction. Besides, the cross section of a convex lens shape for converting a cylindrical wave shape electric wave into a plane wave shape in the lens 12 is made to be the rationally symmetric shape which is formed by rotation around the z-axis. Most of the radiation elements are arranged comparatively in the neighborhood of the focus F to enable converting a cylindrical wave shape electric wave irradiated from a plane array 15 into a plane wave by the lens 12 within the angle range made by two straight lines for connecting the focus F of the lens 12 and both ends of the effective diameter of the lens 12.
