SOLUTION: The capacitor body has a bottomed cylindrical Al case having a top face 121 at one end and houses a capacitor element being impregnated with an electrolyte soln. inside. A circular nonprinting region 122 (circular part shown by the chain line) having a diameter (d) not greater than one third of the outer diameter D of the case 12 (d<=D/3) is set at its top face center and an explosion proof valve 30 is provided in this region 122. This valve 30 is formed in a concentric circular shape to the region 122 and has a shape not limited to the concentric circular one but a bow-and-arrow, cross, Y-letter or petaloid shape.
