PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of discharge at the end surface of a capacitor by covering each base of one or more of the terminals drawn out from the capacitor inside at the end surface with an insulator. SOLUTION: In a wound plastic-film capacitor, each of metallized films 1 and 2 comprises a PET film, on a single side of which evaporated electrodes 3 or 4 are formed, insulated each other by a uniform spacing between each in the longitudinal direction, while in the width wise direction of the film, they are formed from the film ends to the inside direction leaving a uniform spacing on each end. Each of the evaporated electrodes 3 formed on the metallized film 1 is facing to two neighboring electrodes of the mutually insulated evaporated electrodes 4 formed on the metallized film 2 mutually insulated each other by a uniform spacing between each in the longitudinal direction. Lead wires 8 are drawn out from the evaporated electrodes 4 at both ends to mutually opposite directions, normal to the longitudinal direction of dielectric films 5, each of which comprises a PET film on a single side of which a thermoplastic resin 6 is coated. A PET pipe is inserted and fastened to each base of the lead wires 8.
