PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such trouble that an error occurs in the detection by an indirectly heated oil flow sensor and that it performs wrong control action, by enabling the burner to prevent air from being included into the indirectly heated oil flow sensor and its vicinity, in the initial stage of the beginning of use of the device after execution of works. SOLUTION: A kerosene burner has a device body 100 equipped with principal mechanisms for combustion of kerosene, and a kerosene tank 10 arranged in a separate position from the device body 100, and it is so arranged so to supply the kerosene from the kerosene tank 10 to a burner part 60 through an oil supply path 20 by a supply pump 50, and also to detect the flow of the kerosene by an indirectly heated oil flow sensor 40 provided in the oil supply path 20, and to control the combustion control, using this detection value. In this case, it is provided with an air discharge means 70 also in the position downstream from the indirectly heated oil flow sensor 40 of the oil supply path 20.
