The apparatus has an inclined elevator (2) extending from an opening at grade level to the floor level, a traveling platform (6) riding on the elevator and adapted to receive an overburden or mined deposit filled truck (16). Cable(s) (8) pass over separate upper (9) and lower (10) cable pulleys and has an upper pass (13) extending to the upper pulley from the platform and a lower pass (14) extending from the lower pulley along the elevator. A counterweight (7) rides on the elevator and is connected to the lower pass, and a conveyor operating at grade level at the elevator upper end has a cable drum looped by a cable portion between the pulleys. |
