The built-up collar bearing shell has two holding tongues (7,8) projecting radially inwards at each axial bearing section (4), on each side of the peak (S). Their flanks towards the center peak (S) carry a cut-back section (22) which, when assembled with the radial bearing section (2), grip into the holder openings (10,12) at the edge of the radial bearing section (2) with locking tabs fitting into the cut-back openings (22). The holding structure is set so that the axial bearing section (4) is locked in place and cannot fall radially out of place, and without distortion during the assembly.
