CONTROL MODULE FOR TRIGGERING UNITS FOR INITIATING PYROTECHNICAL ELEMENTS

Pyrotechnical elements are the totality of elements which trigger a desired pyrotechnical effect by applying electrical voltage preferably in combination with coded signals, whereby said effect involves for example detonating an explosive charge or igniting a gas generator of an airbag or a seat bag tensioner, firework, sprinkler systems or destroying locking devices for security systems, e.g. emergency exits. An electronic circuit being the switching and controlling unit is situated in the triggering units and produces said effects. The aim of the invention is to protect said electronic circuit and to improve the management thereof. To this end, the switching and controlling unit (7) is embedded in a plastic body (16).
