The radiation detector manufacturing method has a slot (4) formed in a scintillator (3) and fitted with a collimator plate (5) which is previously provided with a light- reflecting region (6) on one or both sides. The detector may have a photodiode array (2) and a scintillator, provided with a number of slots, each used for positioning a respective collimator plate relative to the photodiode array.
