<p>The present invention makes available a composition for the treatment of female sexual dysfunction, said composition comprising a selective EP2 or EP4 prostanoid receptor agonist and in particular one of 19-hydroxy-PGE2, 19R-hydroxy-PGE2, 18-hydroxy-PGE2, 20-hydroxy-PGE2, or salts or esters thereof. The invention further discloses a method of treatment of female sexual dysfunction, wherein the above composition is applied topically in the form of a cream, gel, ointment or solids.</p> |
