<p>In bending a metal sheet by an upper die pressing it against lower dies, instead of lower dies of different sizes and shapes, a pair of rotating bar-like lower dies are used to ensure sharp bending of the metal sheet, wherein the metal contact surfaces of the two inclined bar-like lower dies are automatically restored to their horizontal position. A metal sheet bending device with rotation control members which comprises a mechanism including two bar-like lower dies having a semicircular cross section provided as lower dies, the convex surfaces of the two bar-like lower dies being slidably turnably mounted on a support having two concave surfaces with a groove interposed therebetween, the mechanism being such that a metal sheet placed on the metal contact surfaces of the two bar-like lower dies is pressed by an upper die against the lower dies to bend the metal sheet while inwardly rotating the lower dies. A metal sheet bending device which comprises a mechanism including a rotation suppressing weight (a rotation suppressing member) attached to each bar-like lower die, the mechanism being such that a metal sheet is pressed by an upper die against the lower dies and concurrently therewith the metal contact surfaces of the two bar-like lower dies are inwardly rotated against the gravity of the rotation suppressing weights (the suppressing force, such as elastic force, of the rotation suppressing members) to bend the metal sheet.</p> |
