<p>A support system (30) for positioning a sprinkler head (32) relative to a support structure (8) in a ceiling, floor or wall includes a central hub (40) adapted to receive the sprinkler head (32), a first leg (36) attached to the central hub (40) and having a first end configured to be attached to the support structure (8), a second leg (38) attached to the central hub (40) and having a second end configured to be attached to the support structure (8), the second leg (38) being spaced-apart from and substantially parallel to the first leg (36).
