PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce overcurrent which appears in an armature due to a change in magnetic property, by providing a plurality of magnetic areas having a magnetic property and an insulating area disposed with an insulating property between the magnetic areas adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction of the armature. SOLUTION: An armature 17 which contains a magnetic material and is formed into a disk comprises a plurality of slits 17c, each extending in the radial direction N. The slits 17c are evenly disposed on the entire end face of the armature 17. The slits 17c arranged radially may be extended to an armature stem 17a. In this case, the slits 17c do not reach the armature stem 17a in view of rigidity required for the armature 17. Magnetic areas divided by the slits 17c are insulated with air from one another. This arrangement makes it possible to effectively reduce overcurrnet, which internally appears when an external magnetic flux is changed. Thus, response of a valve is further improved.
