INTERCONNECTION NETWORK AND ITS SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interconnection network which can execute a function test by itself and to provide a self-diagnostic system and a method of the interconnection network. SOLUTION: Plural pseudo request generation parts 510 generate requests and send them to corresponding input buffer parts 310. Each part 310 sends a connection request to an arbiter corresponding to an output port which is shown by a routing address. The arbiter performs the arbitration of plural requests conflicting with each other and notifies a selector of this arbitration result as a select signal. The selector selects the data included in the requests whose connection requests are permitted to send these data to its corresponding output buffer part and also to send a select signal to a self-diagnostic part. The self-diagnostic part diagnoses whether the conflict arbitration function of the arbiter is normal based on the select signal and the request pattern information. The output buffer part sends the data to an output port if it receives no hold signal from an OR circuit.
