The cells are divided by partitions (8) made from hollow spherical porous-walled elastomer, ceramic or metal micro-balls (15) which are stuck together and to the walls (7) at their points of contact (16, 17). The thickness of the partitions is equivalent to at least 15% of the thickness of the honeycomb layers. |
