<p>Labor-saving floating pesticide compositions which are directly applied to paddy fields. These compositions are characterized by containing, in addition to the active pesticidal ingredient and a surfactant: (1) a carbonate and a solid acid and having bubbles and/or concaves therein; (2) an enclosed hollow matter having a bulk density less than 1; or (3) an enclosed hollow matter having a bulk density less than 1, a binder and a disintegrating agent; and having a composition density less than 1 g/cm3. When poured into a paddy field filled with water, these compositions float on the water face and release the active pesticidal ingredient, thereby showing characteristics of exerting uniform pesticidal effect while giving no chemical treatment trace on the soil surface at the application point.</p> |
