<p>The invention describes a metering vessel (10) for use in a feed-distribution system (6) for animals, in particular pigs, in which feed is conveyed through a pipe system (4) to a multiplicity of feeding points. The metering vessel (10) has a metering chamber (11) with a top wall (12) with at least one closable passage opening (53), a base (13) with at least one closable outlet opening (24), and a side wall (14) with a diverging contour. The metering chamber (11) is provided with two hinged partition walls (41; 42) which define an active metering-chamber part (51) of adjustable volume. The side wall (14) comprises two side-wall parts (61; 62) which are hingedly connected to one another. An outlet funnel (20) is mounted rotatably beneath the metering chamber (11). The inlet opening (53) of the metering chamber (11) can be opened and closed by a rotatable valve disc (80).</p> |
