A binding device wherein a bendable rectangular strip element (2) has a number of tongues (7) arranged combfashion, and a first and second portion (10, 17) covered with adhesive (12, 18) and extending respectively along a first and second major peripheral edge (2a, 2b). The tongues (7) are insertable inside respective holes formed in a pack of sheets, with the first portion (10) located on a peripheral edge portion of a first end sheet of the pack; the strip element (2) is bendable to superimpose the second portion (17) on the tongues projecting from a second end sheet of the pack; and the second portion (17) is glued firmly to the second end sheet to form a bundle of bound sheets.
