The mold (1) has an interior into which the embedding material is poured. The mold's interior is enclosed by a cylindrical peripheral wall (7) made of a piece of translucent or transparent flat plastic (7'), and base (2). The two ends of the plastic piece overlap without being joined. The base has a sealing lip (5) possessing incisions and sealing the join between the base and peripheral wall against the inner surface of the peripheral wall.
