The invention relates to a drying tower (1), especially for spry-drying/spray-agglomerating ingredients of washing agents or the like. According to the invention, the suspensions are injected into the tower (1) via spray nozzles which lie in different nozzle planes (2, 3). Said suspensions are injected in the direction of gravity against the hot and swirled air (5, 6) which is guided in a counter-flow. Several spray nozzles are arranged in different nozzle planes (2, 3) at the periphery of the tower. The aim of the invention is to optimize the energy required while preventing the formation of such hot spots. To this end, nozzles which produce spray cones at the periphery of the tower are arranged in at least one nozzle plane (2, 3) and are mounted on differently long, substantially horizontally arranged spray arms (11a, 11b, 11c).
