In the present invention there is disclosed the use of fumagillol or ester being formed by fumagillol and saturated or unsaturated alkyl carboxylic aids containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms or alkyl dicarboxylic acids containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts for preparing medicaments intended for fighting intestinal infections caused by microsporidia and/or cryptosporidia.
