Each shut-off valve (1) comprises a pin-like central body (2), which inserts in a venting bore, and a sealing part (3) with a flat area (4) lying flush with the mold cavity side. One or more openings (7) in the sealing part form a flow path for air as the rubber fills the mold. An Independent claim is made for a tire vulcanizing mold with venting bores containing two-part valves whose elastically deformable sealing part acts with the central body to effect valve closure. Preferred Features: The flow path connecting with the opening (7) is angled through 90 deg and continues between the bore wall and the central body (2). The shut-off valve may have an elastically deformable side facing the mold cavity which closes on contact with the rubber. Another type of sealing part has integral wave-like spring shanks whose free ends are angled inwards to form a holding chamber for the central body (22).
