The shopping trolley has a body (1) to hold the shopping with a base (2), side walls (3,4) and a rear wall (5). The edging section (6) has an end wall section (7) and two side wall sections (8,9) which can be moved between two positions where, in one setting, the side wall sections (8,9) extend the body side walls (3,4) in a forwards direction and another position where the body side walls (3,4) are extended upwards. A plate (12) acts as a base for the edging unit (6) in the first setting and is an end wall for the body (1) in the second position.
