In the present invention there is disclosed a stable, phosphate- and metasilicate-free, low-alkaline cleansing agent in the form of tablets, intended for washing dishes in dish-washers. The invented cleansing agent further contains basic carrying substances, bleaching agents, bleaching activating agents and enzymes, as well as optionally non-ionic wetting agents, dyestuffs and aromatic substances. In addition to other basic substances the preparation contains sodium citrate and optionally preparations for retarding dissolution and is free of polymers. In the present invention there is also claimed a process for preparing such cleansing agent and its use in preliminary rinsing process.
