An 8-azabicycloÄ3.2.1Üoctan-3-one derivative of formula (30): wherein R is (CH2)qD or CH2CF3; q is an integer of 2 to 6; and D is a hydroxymethyl group, an alkoxy group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms or a morpholinyl group. These compounds are useful as intermediates for pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
