Device for inflating airbag and process for producing such device

The present invention is characterized by a device used for inflating airbag and consisting of a container (15) containing an inflating liquid. This container (15) has a first outer surface (19) and an inner surface (16) that is at least partially provided with a thread and forms a threaded hole passing into the container (15) from the first outer surface (19). A plug (40) with outer circumference (45) that is at least partially provided with a thread corresponding to the thread of the container (15) threaded hole, whereby said plug (40) outer circumference (45) forms a second outer surface (51) fitting close to the container (15) first outer surface (19). The plug (40) outer circumference (45) and the container (15) inner surface forming the threaded hole form a contact surface (11) between the plug (40) and the container (15). This contact surface (11) reaches to container (15) circumference between the first outer surface (19) and the second outer surface (51). The device further comprises blocking means for preventing escape of inflating liquid out of the container (15) via this contact surface (11). Those blocking means consist of a ring (30) covering the contact surface (11) and further covering parts of the first outer surface (19) and the second outer surface (51). In the device there are also provided means securing the ring (30) to the first outer surface (19) and the second outer surface (51). In the present invention there is also claimed a process for producing the above described device.
