PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect the information for deciding the operation condition of an occupant protection device from a terminal unit in the most suitable period corresponding to the priority of the information without switching the communication method with a plurality of terminal units before/after the collision. SOLUTION: In this device, a communication is carried out in a plurality of terminal units and prescribed communication period T0 through a single communication line and the operation condition of an occupant protection device is decided by collecting plural information on the occupant and loaded thing and a central control unit for controlling the operation of the occupant protection device is provided. In a central control unit, a communication is carried out every time per a communication period T0 with the terminal unit (slave 1, 2) having the information with a high priority and the communication is carried out in order per the communication period T0 with the terminal unit (slave 3, 4) having the information with a low priority and various kinds of informations are collected. Thereby, without changing the communication partner and communication period by the detection of the collision, the information with high priority can be collected by a short period and the information with low priority can be collected by a long period respectively and various kinds of information can be collected reasonably in the most suitable period corresponding to the priority of the information. |
