PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily mold an elastic doll head having a uniform thickness by using split metal molds made in the shape of the doll head, falling a parison consisting of a molding material mainly composed of a thermoplastic elastomer between the split metal molds, closing the split metal molds, and blowing air thereto. SOLUTION: In the production of a doll head, a material mainly composed of a thermoplastic elastomer of synthetic resin and having a plasticizer and a coloring agent added thereto is used as the molding material. This molding material is heated and made into a tube-like parison by an extruder 20, and fallen between two split metal molds 2, 3 arranged with a space. The split metal molds 2, 3 are closed, and air is blown thereto through a blowing pipe 24. At this time, the residual air is simultaneously extracted, whereby the molding material is closely fitted to the whole inner surface of a metal mold A to mold the doll head. Thereafter, a rod is protruded into the cavity from under and pulled out, whereby the molding material is extruded into the split metal mold 2 to form a neck hole. |
