PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate door, fence or the like at a low cost by merging the manufacture of various kinds of machine parts with that of the gate door, fence or the like. SOLUTION: Each fence-like plate 1 comprises a metallic plate member 11 and a frame member 12 and a gate door is constructed of the fence-like plates 1. A number of through holes 13 are formed in each plate member 11. The through holes 13 are formed by cutting parts such as cams by means of a laser machine; that is, the plate members 11 are left behind after the parts are cut by laser machining. Each of the through holes 13 has a length about one-third the height of each fence-like plate 1 and does not continue from near the upper side to near the lower side of each plate member 11, so that flowerpots 4 can be put on the desired portions of the fence-like plates 1.
