PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably use the alloy for repairing dental crowns, decorative parts, contacts of electric apparatus or the like by allowing it to have a specified compsn. contg. Au, Pd, In, Cu, Zn, Pt, and the balance essential Ag and allowing it to optionally contain Al or the like. SOLUTION: This alloy has a compsn. contg. 2 to 30% Au, 15 to 35% Pd, 5 to 22% In, 0.5 to 12% Cu, 0.1 to 10% Zn, 0.1 to 10% Pt, and the balance Ag, and, moreover, in the case Al, Si, Re, Ga, Sn, In, Os, Ph and Ru are incorporated therein, each content is controlled to 0.01 to 3%. By controlling the ranges of Au and Pd to the ones similar to those in a copper-contg. low karat gold alloy placed on the market, various characteristics which can get through JIS standards are imparted thereto. In reduces the m.p. of the alloy, covers the lack of the improvement of its discoloration resistance and corrosion resistance caused by Au and Pd and moreover improves its strength. Zn effectively works as a deoxidizer for the alloy and furthermore improves its strength and corrosion resistance.
