PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle device for preventing an auxiliary locking member from standing still at an incomplete position, reducing the generation of a pseudo latch phenomenon and improving reliability in terms of strength. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a latch plate 14 for locking and unlocking a tongue plate 5, a holder member 17 arranged movably corresponding to the movement of the latch plate 14 and energized in the direction of controlling the latch plate 14 to a locking position and the auxiliary locking member 16 movably supported by windows 33B and 33C formed at a base 11 and supporting holes 57B and 57C formed at the holder member 17 for controlling the movement of the latch plate 14. Then, the supporting holes 57B and 57C generate cam action together with the windows 33B and 33C corresponding to the movement of the holder member 17 and the auxiliary locking member 16 is moved between the position of controlling the latch plate 14 to the locking position and the position of controlling it to an unlocking position by the cam action.
