PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock or unlock a remote-control bicycle lock manually even on its battery shortage or electric circuit failures. SOLUTION: The bicycle lock has a receiver means 22 for generating a signal to power a lock drive part 10 into operation and actuate a lock mechanism parts 4, 12, 3 only when finding code signals from a transmitter means 24 coincident with ones preset by an authentication code. The lock mechanism parts 4, 12, 3 can be also operated manually. A keyless remote-control locking/ unlocking operation appreciably advantageously permits the user to work the lock with ease even when his/her fingers or hands are dirty or even without bending down in a crowded parking lot. Even if the remote-control part fails or the locked/unlocked state experiences a battery shortage, the user can lock or unlock the lock manually with the key.
