PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reasonably forming a block stacked with fixed number of pages by a method wherein a rolled paper is employed as a base paper so as to continuously execute a series of processes such as printing, cutting and gathering. SOLUTION: A unit face setting printing A with faces of fixed number of pages aligned in longitudinal rows and in lateral rows numbered from one to N unit is continuously printed on a band paper 2 delivered from the roll of base paper 1. By slitting the printed band paper 2a in a plurality of longitudinal rows, printed narrow width band papers 2b are superposed and then cross- cut to the direction of a lateral row so as to form a first unit stacking block B with the faces of the fixed number of pages in the direction of the lateral rows in the unit face setting printing A. By superposing a plurality of units of the first unit stacking block B, a second unit stacking block C numbered from one to N unit is formed. Finally, by superposing a plurality of units of the second unit stacking block C, a third unit stacking block D numbered from one to N unit having the fixed number of pages so as to form a stacking block having a fixed number of pages.
