PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a gate fastening door stop device without bending the body by preventing a holder from becoming a hindrance by arranging the holder in a place to which a grip abuts when a door opens, and arranging a means for engaging/holding the holder by the grip between the grip and the holder at door opening time and releasing a holding state by rotating the grip. SOLUTION: A pair is symmetrically arranged on both surfaces of a door 1, and when one is moved, the other is interlocked, and when one is pushed down, a lock is released, so that the door 1 is opened, and a holder 4 having a V-shaped hole 5 being an entrance of a lever handle 2 is arranged on a front face on a wall 3 of a position to which the lever handle 2 abuts. When opening the door 1 at its maximum, the lever handle 2 of a horizontal state enters the inside of the holder 4 from a horizontal part of the V-shaped hole 5, and is put in a holding state by engaging with a taper part on the tip of a hook 7 arranged in the inmost part and freely rotatable in the vertical direction. Since the hook 7 slips out when the lever handle 2 is pushed down, the lever handle 2 is pulled to this side to release a hold from the holder 4. The holder 4 does not become a hindrance since it is arranged in a grip abutting place, so that there is no need to bend the body since the holder is operated by the grip.
