PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heatable calendar roll having a light weight and easily being processed by providing many holes for heating medium penetration at the circumferential part of a cylindrical roll main body, and also compressing a displacing body into a hole provided at its central part. SOLUTION: This heatable calendar roll is constituted by providing many holes 3 for penetrating a heating medium at the circumferential part and a hole 4 having a larger diameter for reducing the total weight thereof at the central part of a cylindrical roll main body 1 supported with a flange journal 2 installed with flanges at both ends thereof, compressing a displacing body 6 consisting of a solid plastic or a foamed plastic having closed cells and also installed with a hole 9 at its central part and at least one groove 10 extending along its peripheral part, into the hole 4, and also installing a covering part 8 consisting of a plastic material at the side surface of the roll main body.
