PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat having an increased strength of the hat itself an increased restoring force of the hat when the folded hat is expanded, hardly causing deformation and generation of folding crease of the hat body, enabling the hat to be worn in pleasant feeling and suitable as a portable hat. SOLUTION: A binding stitch tape 5 is sewed through a netlike tape interlining 4 made of a thermoplastic resin such as polypropylene, and obliquely knitted, on the part of a seam 3 at the bask side of a hat body 1 to the hat body 1, and the netlike tape interlining 4 made of the thermoplastic resin such as the polypropylene, and obliquely knitted is folded into the edge part of the outer periphery part of the brim to provide the objective portable hat.
