PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mounting structure of a recording head suitable for realizing a higher image quality. SOLUTION: A head position adjusting mechanism 7 consists of a pressing mechanism 21 equipped with a coiled spring 23, which presses the side surface of a head case constituting a recording head 6 and an elastic member holding part 24, which is disposed in upright on the bottom surface of a mounting base 5 for supporting the coiled spring, and a pressing accepting mechanism 22 equipped with pressing accepting members 26, which are mounted shiftably within an adjusting range so as to accept pressing forces, and pressing accepting member holding part 27, under the state that the pressing mechanism is arranged on the side of the side surface of one head case while the pressing accepting mechanism is arranged on the side of the side surface of the other head case so as to house both the abutting position between the coiled spring and the recording head and that between the pressing accepting member and the recording head within the range of the side surface of the head cases.
