PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a formed product having biocompatibility and storability as an adhesion-preventing material, or a vulnerary covering material, and capable of extremely improving the therapeutic effects and comprising a single gel of hyaluronic acid by freezing an acidic solution of the hyaluronic acid, and thawing the frozen solution. SOLUTION: An acidic aqueous solution (preferably having pH 0.5-2.0) of a hyaluronic acid which is a linear high molecular polysaccharide having a structure of alternatively connectingβ-D-N-acetylglucosamine withβ-D-glucuronic acid is frozen at (-30)-(-10) deg.C freezing temperature for >=2 days freezing time, and the frozen solution is thawed to provide a single gel of the hyaluronic acid and to provide the objective formed product. Preferably, a sheet-like formed product of the hyaluronic acid obtained by forming the formed product into a sheet shape is preferably used as a medical material.
