PILE YARN AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile yarn having high collectability and excellent surface quality, durability, dust-removing property and springiness. SOLUTION: This pile yarn has a first twist and final twist and is composed of a continuous bulky multifilament yarn A and a non-bulky multifilament yarn B having a boiling water shrinkage satisfying the formula (1) 2<=Aw<=15 and the formula (2) 5<=Bw-Aw<=70 [Aw is boiling water shrinkage (%) of the continuous bulky multifilament yarn A; Bw is boiling water shrinkage (%) of the non-bulky multifilament yarn B]. A part or total of the single fiber constituting the non-bulky multifilament yarn B is bonded along the direction of the fiber axis.
