PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article hard to produce a twist, effective for dividing a fluid in a width direction, excellent in property for preventing a side-leakage, and having high productivity and low cost. SOLUTION: A fluid-supportive absorption layer 4 is inter-positioned between a fluid-permeable surface sheet 2 and a-fluid impermeable back sheet. The absorption layer 4 is formed of a longitudinal absorptive sheet 40 having a thickness (t) of 0.5 to 5 mm. Slender belt-like openings 41 are respectively provided at right and left sides of the absorption layer 4. In an absorptive article 1, the surface sheet 2 and the back sheet are contacted at the openings 41.
